Privacy Policy
Fuji Bit Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") provides the mobile application "Procedure Manuals Are Novels" (the "App"). This privacy policy explains how user information is handled in connection with the App.
1. Information We Directly Collect
The App does not transmit or collect any personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, phone number, or precise location) to our servers.
The IDs of maxims you mark as favorites, your first-launch date, and — only if you choose to enable it — your daily-reminder enabled-flag and chosen reminder time are stored locally on your device (via shared_preferences) and are never sent off-device. The optional daily reminder is scheduled only when you explicitly enable it in the settings screen; no notification data is transmitted to our servers or to any third party.
2. Information Collected by Third-Party Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC. AdMob may automatically collect advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID), IP addresses, device information, and usage data to deliver and optimize ads.
For details on AdMob's privacy practices and opt-out options, please see Google's Advertising policies .
3. App Tracking Transparency (iOS only)
On iOS, in accordance with Apple's privacy requirements, the App displays a tracking-permission dialog the first time it is launched. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," personalized ads will not be shown to you; only generic ads will be served. The App's core features remain fully usable.
You can change this setting at any time under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on iOS.
4. Firebase (v4.0+) Information Collection
Starting with v4.0, the App uses Firebase services provided by Google LLC. The following services are used in the "hamon-prod" project (project ID: hamon-prod-8b492, asia-northeast1 region, managed by Fuji Bit Inc.):
- Firebase Authentication (Anonymous): For the voting feature, an anonymous UID issued by Firebase is obtained. It is not linked to any personal information (name, email, etc.) and is re-issued when the App is reinstalled.
- Cloud Firestore: The maxim IDs and 1.0–10.0 scores you assign are stored together with the above anonymous UID. Used solely to display the in-app popularity ranking. Not provided or sold to third parties. If you wish to have your voting data deleted, please contact us at the address below.
- Firebase Analytics: Anonymously aggregates events such as screen transitions, votes, and shares to understand App usage. No personally identifying information is included.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Transmits stack traces on crash. No personally identifying information is included. Operates only in Release builds.
- Firebase App Check: Used to block unauthorized requests from outside the App. Uses DeviceCheck on iOS and Play Integrity on Android.
For Firebase's privacy practices, please see Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms .
5. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under 13.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
The anonymous UID and voting data stored in Cloud Firestore are retained for the duration of the service. Uninstalling the App deletes on-device data, but the anonymous UID and voting data in Cloud Firestore are retained. If you wish to have them deleted, please contact support@fujibit.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or in the App. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
